Today was a day of discovering the Marais district although we did end up in Bastille and as a result, are now enjoying a ‘feet up’ recuperation. This is such a pretty area though, and we are thrilled to be staying here rather than in the centre of Paris. After all we’ve done all the tourist spots and really don’t need to see the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysee each time we’re in this city. However we are just a few Metro stops away and we have a few days here so no doubt we will get there before leaving Paris. Today’s photographs are primarily in the Marais as well as some necessary foodie stops such as the local chocolatier and macaron shop, and of course a few vegetable stalls.
